Visit Bellevue Botanical Gardens

After going to church and then trying a new (to me) restaurant along Lake Washington, I went and experienced the FREE Bellevue Botanical Gardens. There are 53 acres to enjoy, your gurl only experienced a sliver of them and I do think I’ll go back.

I very quickly opted out of the Japanese Gardens - our favorite to visit when we would go together to various gardens while traveling - because I wasn’t ready for that experience, but I did walk the beautiful bridge and the pathway that was my walking path for the day.

The trees are massive and their ground covering kept it cool on a somewhat warm summer day in early July, but for the most part, I just wanted someone to share this experience with. It’s not like Mister and I would talk all the time while experiencing the gardens, but we would bump shoulders and sometimes hold hands and then dream together about what our own “gardens” might look like when we finally found a home to make our own.

I’m so glad I went and spent about two hours there. It was neat to see friends sitting on benches in deep conversations, young families wearing out their little children and professional photographers coaching the pregnant woman and her hubby as they got their photos taken.

It was wonderful afternoon and I’ll be back.
