Sit at the Chef’s Table

Matia Kitchen, Orcas Island

A good experience ruined by the fact that I got a late reservation and was too tired to really enjoy it. The food was interesting, certainly nothing I would make myself or search out an opportunity to eat again.

I wasn’t uncomfortable being alone at the countertop (close enough to a private table, right?) but I wasn’t dressed for the occasion. And as you can imagine, it was a lot of money for one meal without something special to celebrate. But, I’m glad I went and experienced it.
