Read Roots

It took almost two months to finish Alex Haley’s, Roots but I finally did it.

I took this book everywhere these past two months to get it all read. I got over dining alone with a book and carried it with me almost everywhere.

This was tough because I made the decision to ONLY read this book to really get into it and to get through it. At 886 pages, I knew this would be the only time I’d read it.

I’m still processing the depth of the story and the history of Africans being stolen into slavery and the overcoming spirit of those enslaved. And the lawsuit due to plagiarism?!? Did you know that!?!
